The cottage garden - de cottagetuin 

A cottage garden looks informal and relaxed. A cottage garden breaks all the rules of garden design in that it creates the illusion that there isn't any design; its seems that the plants are planted at random, it looks very natural. 

Een tradionele cottagetuin ziet er informeel en rustgevend uit. Een cottagetuin breekt alle regels wat betreft tuinontwerp, het wekt de indruk alsof er helemaal geen ontwerp is; het lijkt erop alsof de planten willekeurig zijn geplant, wat een hele natuurlijke uitstraling geeft.
